NBN 100 plan has poor download speed

My home board band has been upgraded from cable to NBN a couple of weeks back, with the 100/40 plan. Noticed download speed reduced from 100mbps(cable) to 5~20mbps(nbn) and connection stalls a few seconds once every few minutes. This is a $110/mth plan compares to previous $90/mth one, speed and stability is unacceptable. 

 

Cobi-bot took my feedback but no one contact me back.

What colour are the lights on your modem? You may be on 4G backup.

 

If you plug a computer directly in to the NBN NTD, what speeds do you get?

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

LED light on front of modem is green. Speed reported above was through Ethernet connection.

Some times speed went up to 40~50mbps, but again that just 50% of the speed promised.

If you plug in to the NBN NTD (the box that your Telstra modem is plugged in to) directly using the ethernet cable to your computer, is there a difference in speeds? Trying to see if it is a connection problem or a modem problem.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
