This is totally ridiculous!
I received an NBN connection kit in April and kept get emails and texts asking to replace my ADSL with the new NBN device+ phone. I finally got connected last night but couldn't get onto internet with the new NBN device. Called back to Telstra from the NBN connected phone got told that my area is still not NBN ready that i should connect back to my old ADSL, but the problem is that once i connect back to ADSL, the phone wouldn't work ( the new phone device only connects with NBN device, while the new NBN device couldn't get me to internet), so why on earth kit was sent and i got hasseled with mail/email/text asking to connect the new device???????????????

You shouldn't be asked to connect the new modem until the NBN is ready in your area, apologies for that. Keep the new modem handy though, as soon as the NBN is available you will be able to start using it.
