NBN constantly dropping out

We've been on Telstra NBN HFC for about 3 weeks now. The WAN connection is dropping out anywhere from 3-15 times a day. The connection is usually restored without intervention in 1-2 minutes, however, it's killing our availability to video conference for school and work.

I suspect it's something to do with DHCP lease renewal, however, I'm not sure. It's killing us at the moment.

Any ideas?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: NBN constantly dropping out

If its dropping out 3-15 times a day it is more likely to be an intermittent line fault than a DHCP lease renewal problem. Have you reported a fault to Telstra.

Re: NBN constantly dropping out

I've tried a couple of time but have given up after waiting on hold for close to an hour. I understanding things are a bit hectic for them at the moment with their call centres out of action.

I'll keep trying.

Thanks.
