NBN drops out everyday

My NBN service (HFC) has been dropping out everyday for the past 2 weeks or so. The drop outs are very short (1-5 mins) and occur at random times once or twice per day. I let it go given the Coronavirus situation but finally got tired of it when the drop out happened in the middle of a print run on my large format photo printer resulting in a completely ruined print. After many calls and over an hour on hold, they tell me the drop outs are caused by congestion due to high network demand. I simply do not buy this explanation. Congestion will cause internet speed to slow down but should not cause disconnections. This is more likely to be caused by a poor connection at some point in the cable infrastructure. I have asked for this to be escalated to a higher level technician and will wait to see what they find.
