NBN fixed wireless

Answered

Good day. I moved from ADSL2  to NBN fixed wireless when that technology recently became available in a remote & rural location where I live. I am happy with the service. I am consistently getting 23-24 Mbps download (about twice what I was getting with ADSL2) and 4 Mbps upload (about 4 times what I was getting with ADSL2).

NBN has advertised (yesterday in The West Australian) that there is a choice of speeds across its network (NBN25, NBN50 and NBN 100). It does not mention any exceptions.

Is Telstra NBN offering this choice of speeds in the service I am receiving (hlu60481@bigpond.net.au)?

Re: NBN fixed wireless

100/40 is not available on fxied wireless services. They can only get the 50/20 tier

AFAIK you should be able to get 50/20 via telstra. You may need to give the NBN sales team a call if you are after it

Re: NBN fixed wireless

Good day. Thank you very much for that advice.  After an aggravating 8 minutes call centre delay I got put through to the Telstra NBN sales team and have ordered the 50/20 upgrade.  I m told it wil be activated in 24 hours – so am waiting in anticipation.  Appreciate your response.

If you need to speak to Telstra regarding NBN you are best to call 1800 TFIBRE (1800 834 273), it should save you having to wait to be transferred.
