NBN order still being processed

I'm currently on Telstra cable and moving apartments next week.  The new apartment has FttP so I placed an order almost a week ago.  The order is at the "Hardware Delivery" with the status of "Being Processed".


My current service is going to be cut off Sunday night (wasn't able to figure out how to leave it active) and the new one activated Monday, but I don't have the modem yet and need my connection as I am currently working from home.


Can a modem be picked up from a Telstra store instead?
