NBN Order - Why does Telstra make it so difficult!

Why can't Telstra make the NBN order simple like other service providers? All I wanted was to switch over from an existing NBN provider to Telstra. After a sales guy stuffed up my order a month ago and I keep telling them that no nbn-co technician visit is required as I already have nbn with my current provider. No technician's visit was required when I moved previous NBN provider to my current provider and it only took 2 days from ordering online so, why can't Telstra do the same? Is this normal when you order NBN through Telstra that every NBN order is like a new installation?
