NBN - reverted to FTTN from FTTC

To say I’m frustrated would be an understatement!! 
14 years in my home - no ADSL ever - we got connected to NBN 2 1/2 years ago - with average speed of 12-15 mbps!! I went to the ombudsman and NBN has to upgrade - there was to be a 12 month wait!! Original plan was to install a micro node - instead in March this year we had FTTC technology installed! 
Infrastructure complete in April - nbn completed and no one knew about it!!! 😡

Took 6 months - and finally I got NBN to update systems and advise Telstra!!! We were connected to NBN FTTC on October 1st!! (Av speed 50mbps) 
Rewind to Sunday - massive storm went through in the middle night - I got up to a beeping noise coming from my NBN modem - with a flashing link light!!! 
8 hours the next day on the chat - I got absolutely no where! I had booked a fault call through the app - which I received a text saying no issue - appointment cancelled! Then all systems in Telstra were showing whoever that I was chatting with I only had FTTN not FTTC ?? I was basically called a liar!!!

It’s been esculated now to a specialist - who can still only see I have FTTN!!!

Omg I know what I have!!

A formal complaint has now been raised as a seperate issue - but everything takes almost a 24 hour turn around and I’m still stuck with no internet!!! The so called wifi back up is totally useless!

Im extremely frustrated - and unsure what else to do - this is completely unacceptable- has anyone had a similar issue with there service reverting?? 
interestingly I received an email Tuesday saying my order was complete - I beginning to blame a human error instead of the storm????
