It could for FTTP, Fixed Wireless, NBN HFC, or FTTC. It won't work for FTTN or FTTB


You can check your address at https://www.nbnco.com.au/ to find out what tech type you have


TG797's are very old models. While it will work on the above mentioned NBN tech types, I would look at getting a more modern modem/router

If you do change over to Telstra's NBN then they will send you the current modem model.


Just be aware that while there is no longer NBN contracts, you would be charged $9 per month left of 24 months if you left early. Otherwise there is no modem fee to upgrade.
