New connection -apartment building
HI,
I'm trying to find out what is included in the new connection fee?
I have just moved in into brand new building which is supposedly wired and ready for connection.
All apartments have a digital hub and there is MDF downstairs
Doesn't Telstra connection fee cover the connection from MDF to apartment ? If not, how do I organise it?
Would it require certified cabler to conduct the work?
I have signed up online on the 15th of June. My line was supposedly connected on 25th. I have finally bought the phone (got line installed for ADSL mainly) as my Internet was due to be activated tomorrow.
However I have tested all the sockets and have no signal.
Telstra advised there is some problems on the line and will send a technician again in TWO weeks (the line has been already connected to the MDF). So I don't know what to do and if wait another two weeks? The building manager has provided me with the cable technician detail who may come and connect me from MDF for additional fee. If this is already included in Telstra fee I'd rather wait for them to finish the work.
So do Telstra connect only to the MDF or also from MDF to the apartment?
Was this helpful?
