New Super Fast add on

Answered

I’m currently on a 100/40 plan and would like to upgrade to the new super fast add on to get 215 peak - what is the up speed though - it’s not mentioned anywhere! Does it stay at 40?

Upload is 25mbps, and 50 for the 1gbps plan

Re: New Super Fast add on

Thanks, how is that Telstra staff not know that or that it's NOT in any documentation they provide anywhere?

Same here, the order is marked as 'complete' but my speeds are the same, so looks like the add on hasn't been activated.

Re: New Super Fast add on

Hi - if you haven't done so to date, does a power Restart of the modem activate the higher speed?

Re: New Super Fast add on

I don't use the Telstra modem, I have pfsense box connected directly to the NBN NTD.

Would have thought the speed would have been set at the node rather than in the modem?

Re: New Super Fast add on

Not sure.  If you have your Telstra Modem still, it might be worth a try to temporarily connect it to the NBN NTD and Restart it to see if the speed pack activates. The Call Centre Agent asked me to restart my Telstra modem to get Calling Line ID to activate after the Call Centre Agent set it up in the network.

Alternatively, have you Restarted the pfsense unit?

Re: New Super Fast add on

Yes I tried restarting the pfsense box but no difference unfortunately.  Connected the Telstra modem back up and still the same.

Finally got a hold of someone via the 24/7 chat app, went through all the standard troubleshooting steps, no good so got escalated to technical support.  Spent a few hours with them, did a factory reset on the Telstra modem, still no change.

Even tried connecting directly to the NTD with a test machine and still got 105/34 speeds, so to me at least it looks like the super fast add on hasn't been enabled.

Anyways, the chat session has gone quiet, I'm guessing whoever I was talking to has gone home now so I'll try again tomorrow.
