Just wondering what the process is to get the SMTP port 25 restriction removed from my service?

AFAIK If it is a Residential grade service, telstra reserves port 25 for its mailserver only and that will not be removed

Wait yeah with Static IP i believe they are exempt from those. You may need to contact bigpond tech support

I have called the support people and get someone in the philippines and they have no idea what im talking about. where do i go next to get my SMTP ports unblocked?

BigPond services with an active Static IP or Telstra Business services should be able to utilise port 25 for 3rd party outbound mail servers. If you continue to experience difficulties with sending emails using port 25, can you please confirm:
- Static IP is active when you check My Account or you have a Telstra Business service.
- The error message received when sending an email.
- Is this occurring on just one or multiple devices using the same and/or different internet services?
