Paying the same for half the speed with NBN

Hi all

i had cable previously and was continually badgered to move it to nbn by Telstra. Little did I know my ~100 mbps would reduce down to ~40. 
I’ve been trying to call/ use the support app which has been impossible to get any response.

Has anyone managed to sort this out? Or do I need to look at other providers?

i think it’s quite cheeky for them to charge me the same $110 and half my service..
