problem accessing email account
Hi,
I get the following message when trying to login to my email account.
"Too Many Requests
This message should not be seen during normal system usage
Your IP address has made too many login requests in too short a time span.
If you are having legitimate password problems then wait a minute or so and try gain. You could close all browser windows and try again as well.
There may be an instance where multiple people are sharing the IP address. An example of this is if you are behind a corporate proxy. In this case one or more other users may have pushed this IP over the detection threshold. The advice is the same as above. If it persists then you should get your IT department to contact Telstra on your behalf, providing your company name, contacts and corporate proxy IP address range(s) so Telstra is aware of the proxies.
If excessive attempts continue to be made then the IP will be blocked for longer and a case lodged to both Telstra Security and ISP owning the IP."
This has only just started happening. If I disconnect my VPN I am able to login.
If I login through myid.telstra.com this is also fine.
I only get the above message signing in through signon.telstra.com.au and signin.bigpond.com.
Can I fix the above problem other than disconnecting the VPN.
Cheers.

Re: problem accessing email account
It seems the VPN is the issue, not the email server..
It might be possible to exclude the email website (I am assuming you are trying to log into Telstra Webmail?)..
Are you able to login to your Telstra account? If so, there is a link to webmail there, does that work?
have you tried the direct Webmail login..

Too many devices, probably an addict :-) also a tinkerer and developer of stuff..
Not with Telstra, just another customer like you!
