Router/modem WAN light flashing - no internet

Been having intermittent issues with WAN connection from a Telstra Gateway Max branded Netgear cable modem.

Problem Description: Wan light is flashing green but any attempt to access internet is met with

I've only noticed that this started to occur when I received notice that NBN work was commencing in our area (since completed so I'm told) - Eight Mile Plains QLD.

Lived with this for a bit but today decided to call Telstra support (17/12/2016 INT 1-1009529698380) which resulted in a hard reset of the modem.  This did seem to fix it for a while but then later the same issue reoccurred. And it looks like its happened again while I’ve been composing this message.

As I’m no expert, I’ve attached some diagnostics from the modem to see if this might help my situation.

When the modem lets me back on I will try a follow-up with the incident number from today to see if we can get past the “turn it on/off – reset “ level 1 support.

I’ve read a few Whirlpool posts and posts on these forums, but have not seem what I could call a definitive answer to what seems to be a relatively common/prevalent issue. And to head off the usual have you checked thacables etc…

Modem is appeox 6 months old, Ethernet cable and power adaptor came in the same box as the modem/router

Attached:

  • System event logs (as much as was available on the modem after reset today).
  • Ipconfig results while WAN light flashing)
