slow internet

Answered

Hi

My internet usually runs at about 14 mbps and has done for years but as of late has dropped to 4 mbps when tested and it is quite noticable when surfing the internet. Have tested off multiple platforms and multiple routers with the same result. This is very frustrating when trying to watch a movie or play online games.

Any suggestions?

Hi poidag.

There are a few things you can try for speed issues in the following link How To Troubleshoot Speed Issues

If the connection is still slow while isolated then technical support will be able to followup on 133933.

Re: slow internet

Does it matter what time of day it is when you test it? E.g is it faster in the morning and slows down at night?

Re: slow internet

Mine runs between 0.8MBps to 1.0MBps. Try running a buisness on ADSL posing as dial up.  Anyone ever truied to complain ? use the online form and you get this"

Broadband Speed, Getting billed fopr ADSL but getting dial up speed .

I have been experiencing poor speed for 3 years now but it has been getting a lot worse in recent months with my download and up load speed reduced to .08 -1.0 MBps. Telstra has sent a man out to check the circuits, telstra has checked online, all devices using the circuit and nothing...still excriciating slowness. I have logged into this page at 7.10 AM, it has taken until now, 7.52 for the page to open. Is this a deliberate move on telstras part to force consumers onto NBN ?

Re: slow internet

Hi RonB2,

As you continue to experience difficulties with your service, you will need to contact Tech Support to let us know. As you have reported this previously, you should have a reference number that you can provide the consultant so that they can review what has been done previously and provide you with an update.

I'd be contacting Tech Support again and ask them to investigate further.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.
