Slow to reach sites with dynamic DNS

For approx the last 4 days all devices on my home network have experienced DNS errors when trying to go to a number of web sites. Checking the router I see the DNS IP on the net side are 61.9.194.49 and 61.9.195.193.

A ping to 61.9.194.49 gives me a 79% packet loss.

As a workaround I have currently chnaged DNS settings on all devices from dynamic to 8.8.8.8

I'm guessing my issue may be due to the folowing as seen on the Telstra server status site???

Current Interruption
Some ADSL customers may be unable to connect to the internet or experience slower than expected browsing speeds.
