The Standard Plus speed yields download speeds of up to 50Mbps (megabits per second) and 20Mbps upload. However depending on your line distance from the node these speeds may not be achievable and you can move down to the 25/5 speed tier. Though in reality both tiers cost the same in what NBN co a retail service provider (Telstra)

Nbn tier 50 (Standard Plus)

On our $90 Unlimited plan you can expect:

40Mbps typical minimum speed between 7pm and 11pm

(Standard Evening Plus nbn 50)

Download – 40Mbps

Upload – 15Mpbs

Hi Ozmoz I have Telstra Gateway (Sagemcom F@st 5355) so I am not exactly sure what I am looking for I am guessing you mean this under the xDSL settings

Those figures indicate that your modem is connected at 50/20, so should typically be getting around 40Mbps download at peak times. 

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
