Switching from ADSL2+ to Broadband Cable

Hi, I'm currently awaiting NBN to be connected at my premise (well for the past 2 years now) it was supposed to later this month. But has now been pushed back to Aug 2020. I've been suffering with my ADSL2+ connection which maxes out at 2.5 MBs on a good day for past 7 years! NBN have installed the HFC cable to outside my house. What are the chances of switching to Broadband Cable instead of suffering with ADSL?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: Switching from ADSL2+ to Broadband Cable

If NBN Co have recently installed a cable, then the chances are pretty close to Zero.

If it is an existing Telstra HFC Cable, then you should be able to request to have it installed.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Set it & forget it

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.

Avoid queuing up and never worry about late fees again.
