Telstra bigpond cable speed - upload

Answered

Have Cable internet with Gateway max modem. 500gb/mth.

We have had recent service outage (damaged cable 100m down the road) that lasted over a week (grrrrrrr!) and the service has now resumed, however upload speeds are very slow.

i have done several tests using oookla speedtest and upload speed is never faster than around 1.1mbps. On the same test, download is 36mbps.

What speeds should I realistically expect for upload on this service?? Surely 1 mbps upload is not normal or acceptable?

appreciate your thoughts, Crowd!

That is perfect.

On a standard service the speeds are 30/1 (about 36/1.2 in reality).

On a speed boosted service the speeds are 100/2 (about 110/2.4 in reality).
