Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 cauing DVR to reboot

I am using a Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 (Model:Arcadyan LH1000) for my nbn connection. Last week, telstra pushed a new firmware version 0.09.11r to the modem, after the modem upgraded to this firmware version, it causes my CCTV DVR reboot every 2 to 3 minutes. Before upgraded, everything working fine.

Re: Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 cauing DVR to reboot

Is the DVR connected to the modem by LAN or is it connected by WiFi?

Is there anything in the modem's log (Go to Advanced > Log) or DVR's log to indicate why DVR is rebooting?

Re: Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 cauing DVR to reboot

Hi,

The DVR is connect to Lan by network cable, the DVR's log shows DVR is rebooting every 2 or 3 minutes, and I can see it reboot.

If DVR is disconnected from modem does it still keep rebooting?

Re: Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 cauing DVR to reboot

No. Once unplug the network cable from DVR, the DVR back to normal, no reboot.

Before upgrade to the 0.09.11r  firmware, the DVR is working fine.

Also, tried connect the DVR to a same modem with old 0.08.06r firmware, dvr working fine too. Only has issue with 0.09.11r firmware.

Re: Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 cauing DVR to reboot

Just wondering will this new firmware push to all over Australia? As we have branches in NSW, QLD and VIC, I am afraid they will all have the issue if new firmware upgraded.

Re: Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 cauing DVR to reboot

Yes the firmware will be pushed to all Arcadyan modems. Might take several weeks for all modems to be updated. There are two versions of the Gen 2 modem's. Your other branches might be lucky and have the Technicolor version (DJA0231).

Are the cameras connected directly to DVR or via the modem? If connected via modem are they connected via WiFi or LAN?

Cameras are connected directly to the DVR.
