Hi Telestra I was wondering if you would be able to update my modem firware. Upload speed horrible. Download speed fine.

Re: TG797n v3 firmware update

What upload speed are you getting?

Also post your line stats (10.0.0.138 > Advanced > Broadband)

Firmware updates are pushed to the modem automatically and from what i can tell there hasn't been a firmware update on the 797 for a while now. A firmware update is not necessarily going to improve your upload speed

Re: TG797n v3 firmware update

My upload speed is usually 1mb/s max but download is up to 20mb/s

Re: TG797n v3 firmware update

That is the expected upload speed for an Annex A ADSL2 connection. A modem firmware update will not resolve this as it is a technological limitation, not software

ADSL 2 is marketed as up to 20mpbs down and up to 1mpbs up depending on factors like cable distance from the DSLAM and line quality

Line stats look very good btw

Re: TG797n v3 firmware update

Could be wrong but that seems to be a lot of errors for a connection thats only been up for roughly an hour and a half
