Hi all,
The Telstra supplied Netgear router does no allow VPN traffic. Telstra finally admitted there is an issue with the Netgear routers today after a week of frustration.
So i have purchased a TP link router which just fine with the VPN (hooray). The problem is my telephone does not work now.
Does anyone know the:
SIP Proxy and
Outbound Proxy
settings to put into the advanced settings.
Is the registrar address connect.telstra.com
Is there anything else i need - i have the authentication number an PW.
I have wasted days of my life on this.

The only way to get phone working on a Telstra NBN service using a third party modem is to connect the Telstra modem's WAN port to a LAN port on the TP link modem. The VOIP service only works with a Telstra modem.
