Why can't I get 5g Home Internet

I'm on 100Mbs Cable. I'm expected to move to FTC with speeds not guaranteed beyond 50Mbs for more $$$. I can use a 5G Wi-Fi Pro device at my address but not 5g Home Internet. Is it a technical issue or a commercial one?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Why do you say that you cannot use 5G?.

The availability of 5G HOME Internet (as opposed to 5G Mobile Broadband) is probably a commercial decision at this stage. I am not sure if the Trial phase is over yet and the results assessed. I don't think the product is offered from Telstra yet.

Not with Telstra, just another customer like you!

You could try to join the Telstra 5G Home Broadband trial. (It’s still in the assessment phase).

To do so, call 1800 258 503 (8am - 8pm weekdays and ask for the Sales team).

If they deem your location suitable then they may send you an email invitation.
