Re: Wifi on mobile will not connect
Which model phone? My Sony XZ started exhibiting the same problem after the last Android update. I have to switch off the wifi on the phone and then re-enable.

Re: Wifi on mobile will not connect
Can you see the Gateways SSID in WI-Fi settings on your phone. If you can't then if your phone only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi this would indicate that the 2.4G band might be disabled in Gateway.
Log into gateway
http://10.0.0.138
admin/admin
admin/password
admin/blank (no password)
Check under Wi-Fi (Wireless) that 2.4G Wi-Fi is turned on.

Re: Wifi on mobile will not connect
Is the MAC connected by cable or Wi-Fi?
Have you tried forgetting network and then reconnecting.
Tap on the Wi-Fi network from the list under Settings > Wi-Fi.
Then tap on Forget This Network. You will be prompted with a popup message asking you if you want to forget Wi-Fi Network. Tap Forget to forget the network.
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, select the network again, enter the password, and Join the network again to see if it helps

Re: Wifi on mobile will not connect
I don't think I explained it correctly. I didn't mean a SSID called Gateway, I meant SSID with the name that matches the SSID of your gateway.
Both iPone 6 and iPhone 7 support the 5G Wi-Fi Band so the problem want be the 2.4G Wi-Fi band being of.
If the Mac book is connecting by Wi-Fi Ok its more likely to be a DHCP problem.

Re: Wifi on mobile will not connect
Found the Solution.
Just simulated the problem by forgetting the network and then trying to connect. Kept asking for password.
Fixed by tapping on i symbol RHS of Wi-Fi SSD on IPOD
Tap Static.
IP Address set to high value x,x,x,103 if gateway address is 10.0.0.138 would be 10,0.0.103
Subnet Mask set to 255.255.255.0
Router set to 10.0.0.138
DNS set to 10.0.0.138
Tap on back
Tap on SSID to connect
Enter password and tap on join.
Note if you have two devices use different fixed IP address for each.
Note this problem only occurs on 5G band 2.4G band connects OK

Re: Wifi on mobile will not connect
If you were unable to log into gateway its probably because gateways address is not 10.0.0.138 the address of most Telstra gateways.
To check the address on the Mac Book
Click on Apple Symbol Top left
Select System Preferences from drop down list
Select Network
The Gateway Address is the same as the Router Address.
In the example shown below the Gateway Address is 192.168.1.1
When setting up static IP address in your iPhone use this as the gateway address eg using information from image above
IP Address set to high value 192.168.1.103
Subnet Mask set to 255.255.255.0
Router set to 192.168.1.1
DNS set to 192.168.1.1

Re: Wifi on mobile will not connect
It has happened a few times.
Some Gateways such as the Sagemcom the Wi-Fi can turn off in the GUI but there is no indication that it is off because the
Wi-Fi light goes off. It can only be fixed by either reseting gateway (a reboot want fix it) or logging into gateway and using GUI to turn Wi-Fi back on.
There is also a problem with IOS devices (iPods, iPhones, and iPads) waking from sleep and not being able to re connect to Wi-Fi.

Re: Wifi on mobile will not connect
Hi Lfaz32,
Have you been able to clear all saved networks n the iPhone and try setting up again? The fact that it works on your computer indicates there is nothing wrong with the WiFi network, there is some type of issue preventing the iPhone from connecting.
You mentioned something similar happened to when you had Cable Internet, how did you solve that issue?
