activate caller ID

I've found useful info about caller ID but not how to activate it.

We activated our caller ID quite some years ago but have forgotten how we did it.

 

My in-laws are in their 80s and receive lots of nuisance calls. I'd like to know how they can  activate their caller ID please.

You're talking about Caller Line Identification/Call Number Display? Caller ID is showing your ID when you call out

Only way i can think of off the top of my head is via asking billing to activate it
