Cancelling Home Messages 101 service (nbn)

My parents have recently been moved to the nbn network for their home phone and broadband.

It appears that the Home Message service is now enabled by default on their home phone.

How do I disable it? There do not seem to be any menu options for turning this service off.

They already have a separate answering machine and would prefer to use that instead.

Any suggestions?

Call 1800 443 576. Messagebank can only be cancelled at the Telstra End.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
