Re: cordless phone

Hi @Jesseboy

Sorry to hear of the problems with your phone.

Can I ask if the handset was purchased from Telstra direct as part of your service?

Re: cordless phone

Thanks for the details. If the wall phone is fine but the cordless phone isn't working then it may be a problem with the cordless device - I'd recommend running the tests outlined at How to perform an Isolation Test to help confirm this, and the handset manufacturer or place or purchase would be best to contact for further information on warranty repair or replacement options.

Re: cordless phone

This is pretty simple.
If your wall phone is working, it's not your line.
If your cordless phone isn't working, the problem is with your cordless phone.
Is just the handset not working? Can you hear dial tone?
Are any lights on the base station or handset lit?
Check the power point that its actually providing power.
Is the phone line cable plugged in to the wall and the base station?
As cordless phones are so cheap at JB HiFi or Good Guys... you can buy a new complete unit for $40 to $50
Are the battery/batteries ok? If they're
Special batteries you can buy a brand new complete cordless phone for close to the price of some batteries. Hopefully they're AA or AAA.
If I have helped you, a "Like" would be appreciated.
