Engaged signal on NBN

Connected to the NBN on June 4th. Phone has worked a couple of times only.

Now no phone at all.

Numerous phone calls with rebooting, factory resets, cords changed, phone changed.

Telstra sent me one of their phones - still does not work of course and after we rang back once again they managed to get a busy signal on both outgoing and incoming. Green light on the back of the Gateway 2 modem has a slow flash indicating via Telstra info that it is in a DECT handset or FXS off-hook mode. It has now been escalated up the chain for a fix.

We did not have much of a service before we changed over and just before connecting no service at all on the old Telstra line.

NBN says all checks out from their end.

Re: Engaged signal on NBN

Is nothing plugged into the PSTN port and is only the phone plugged directly into the green phone port on the modem. Could be a faulty modem if nothing is plugged into PSTN port and only phone is connected to green phone port.

Re: Engaged signal on NBN

Thankyou for your reply, no there is nothing connected to the PTSN port. Only the green phone port.
