Home Phone cable accidentally cut
My elderly parents home phone underground cable was accidentally cut and now they have no home phone. Is it possible to have this fixed?

Report it to Telstra faults 13223. Make sure you ask for and write down the interaction number

Give 132203 a call and they can arrange the repairs.
If you can't get through there (try calling first), then visit REPORT DAMAGE TO TELSTRA EQUIPMENT and report it there. It will take longer to get actioned through the website reporting, but is a good alternative if you can't get through on the phone.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
