Home phone disconnected/fault reported

Hi All,

 

I reported a fault to Telstra yesterday afternoon, and spoke to a very helpful gentleman who informed me there was an issue with my line and the expected fix date is 5th March.  I do not recall if he gave any reason as to what the problem is, but do not wish to ring again as due to hearing impairments I have great difficulty understanding anyone with an accent ( even a native person from England speaking english - it's just accents I find hard to hear and understand what they are saying.)

 

The "Chat with us now" links are broken as nothing happens when I click on it regardless of what page of this site I am on. 

 

How can I find out what the problem is and why is it going to take 8-9 days to fix??

Hope by posting the info again, it may be of use to someone else searching through the posts with a similar issue to mine.

I just tried it and it works for "Home Phone" "Chat Now" using Edge, Firefox and Chromium browsers.

Yes, that was the area I tried initially. I also tried scrolling down to the bottom of the page including this one, and clicked on "Contact Us" - when this page opened up I scrolled down to "Faults and Technical Support" and clicked on "Call or chat now" link which just returned me to the page you linked to.

I am using Palemoon which is based on Firefox so I would think it should still work....... yet doesn't, IDK.

Any other suggestions anyone? Otherwise it would seem my only other option is to go in to a store.
