I have  new vtech home phone. I want to extend the numbetr of rings beyond the six allowed within the phone settings. Note that the command <*98XX# where XX is 59 or less> doesn't seem to work on my phone. Help please?

Re: home phone number of rings?

Hello,

This is the procedure

Step 1 of 3: Pick up the phone and press * 99

Step 2: Enter the number of seconds you wish the phone to ring before a call is diverted (between 5 and 60 seconds).

Step 3: Press # and hang up.

If this procedure does not work on your phone, you will need to ring Telstra customer service on 132200,  as possibly this feature has not been activated on your service.  Hope this helps

Re: home phone number of rings?

This does not work for me

I tried calling customer service on 132200 and they said they would have advised me to  "dial * 9 9 x x #""

Except they believe the valid range is between 5 and 55 (not 60) seconds
