Home phone porting to another service provider

TPG have attempted to port our current home phone number (that is currently with Telstra) over to them. I received an email from TPG advising their attempt has been rejected due to the following reason: Service is Disconnected or Pending Disconnection. We did not call Telstra prior to disconnect our home phone number. Can someone please check and advise why TPG are unable to port our current home phone number over to them?

What is the best contact number I can call to discuss further with Telstra, please? Thanks in advance.

Telstra have suspended landline porting since March 25 due to covid-19. I had the same issues and when asked what date they'll resume porting they didn't have a date for me.
