How to extend the ring duration on Panasonic KX-TG2632AL cordless telephone

I am trying to extend the Ring duration on a Panasonic KX-TG2632AL Cordless Telephone. I am fed up with it ringing three times, and I cannot get to it in time to answer.

Re: How to extend the ring duration on Panasonic KX-TG2632AL cordless telephone

Try this if it is redirecting to Home Messages or Messagebank 101:

To change the ring time:

Step 1 of 3: Pick up the phone and press * 99
Step 2 of 3: Enter the number of seconds you wish the phone to ring before a call is diverted (between 5 and 60 seconds).
Step 3 of 3: Press # and hang up.

If it is not redirecting to Home Messages or Messagebank 101, then you might want to check the settings on the phone itself, it should have in its own booklet on how to change the ring time on the phone set itself.

i, Thanks for your feedback.

The phone does not divert to 101 message bank, it goes to another message bank provider.

I have searched through the User Manual, ansd cannot locate anything in it to extend the Ring duration.

If it is redirecting to a third party message bank system it should still work with the code above, it is just if it is not redirecting at all or is redirecting to a message bank system on the phone itself (like the phone has its own recorder)... if you give it a go, the worst that will happen is that you get an error message, otherwise it might be worth contacting the third party provider and see if they can delay the redirection on their end... Re: How to extend the ring duration on Panasonic KX-TG2632AL cordless telephone

Hello,

Extending or reducing the delay time before forwarding is an exchange function, not an actual phone function.   That is, the timing is stored in the telephone exchange with the number you want to divert to, the delay,  the entire regalia!

But....you set what you want from your phone, whatever the phone, whether fixed or cordless.

This is what you do, which is NOT indicative  for Telstra messagebank, but another number/office or a third party message/voicemail service, which the CURRENT Original Poster requires......

Lift the phone,  then Key in   *61  then  the number you want to  divert to, then   another   *     then key in the delay time in number of seconds (in 5 second increments).....(eg 30 maximum)   then    #  then hang up the phone.

Example ONLY

*61xxxxxxxx*25#

x = the number you are diverting to including area code

Re the 25,  can be 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30   which is the ring delay

Voila !!     Hope that helps!
