How to reduce the number of rings on a landline/NBN phone so that it goes to messagebank faster?

Also, does anyone know how to quickly access messages on messagebank without having to wait for the ring and press # In other words, does Telstra let you remotely access messages quickly like the old days where you just ring 125102?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

There is no quick way of accessing the messages, you have to wait for it to divert.

To set the number of rings before diversion, dial call/send *99xx# wait for confirmation then hangup. Where xx is the number of seconds in 5 second increments from 5 seconds to 55 seconds.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
