Land Line strange ring

With incoming calls from some mobile phones to my landline, my landline rings once and stops.  The callers mobile continues to ring but my landline doesn't.  Lifting the reciever and the call connects OK.  Calls from other landlines and my own mobile make my landline ring normally.  Why do only some mobiles give an inadequate ring tone?

Hi Richard01,

 

That is very strange that it is only happening with some mobile calls. Do you know if all of the callers are using the same mobile network? Also does this happen if you use a different phone?
