Landline receiving wrong redirected calls

I am receiving 10 to 20 calls a day from callers who dialled another number. I have not been able to find a Telstra person who could help. Mostly one specific number, but also others.

Most concerning: People, who are trying to get a hospital in an emergency.

My loandline is a normal bumber, which I have since ~20 years.

Wrong connections started about 8 years ago! Sometimes less, currently more.

We do not take calls anymore and wait for the answering machine to decide, if we should take a call.

Can anybody help or do I have to cancel and start with a new connection and number?

I'm wondering if perhaps your number has accidentally been printed/linked to a listing. Have you asked the people where they got your number from?
