Have been having similar home phone issues after installation of NBN.  Today unable to make phone calls.  After dialing the phone number, after one or two rings the phone automatically cuts off.  Unable to answer any incoming calls as the caller is unable to hear us clearly.  We can hear them quite clearly.  We have disconnected the modem and the NBN box trying to reset the phone system.  Slight improvement but our voice sounds like a computer generate voice and keep on cutting out.  Hope someone out there is able to assist with the issue.  Thank you.
