That will depend on how the nursing home's phone system is set up (they would need to have the ability for a direct line normally).
You would be best talking to them first. If they have no problems with it, then place a moving home order with Telstra to get it organised.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
