NBN and phone installation
I had NBN installed needed a home phone too as mobile signal is dreadful. But when installed they changed my phone number, I have rung several times and been on live chat, hours wasted. but still they have not reinstated my old number which was guaranteed when I changed over to Telstra. Somebody has promised she will get back to me but still waiting. Any ideas?

You can lodge a complaint via https://telstra.com/complaints , that may be the quickest way to get it resolved.
Did you cancel your service with your previous provider? If so, that will make it very difficult to get the number moved to Telstra as it isn't yours any more in that case.
