My husband and I are on the age pension. Does Telstra give a rebate on our phone bills. If yes how do we apply.

Re: phone concession for age pensioners
Telstra provides a pensioner discount on basic phone plans.
The best "deal" is the $25 Essential home phone plan which includes the pensioner discount.
If I have helped you, a "Like" would be appreciated.

Hi @c53
While Telstra does offer the "Essentials Home Phone Plan" for $25.00 a month, it does get expensive if you make calls that are timed.
E.G: National calls are charged at 25c/min + 55c call connection fee per call. Capped at $3 for the first 3 hours, anytime. Calls that extend beyond are then charged per minute.
Australian Mobile calls are charged at 30c/min + 55c call connection fee per call. Capped at $3 for the first 20 mins, anytime. Calls that extend beyond are then charged per minute.
And 1300 numbers charged at 40 cents per call.
You need to work out if it is worth going on that plan, or for $20 more a month ($55 normally, but a $10 discount for pensioners, so $45 a month) for the "Ultimate Voice Plan". All Loca/National and Mobile calls are free and includes 500 free calls to 13 numbers. Which many use for paying bills.
So you need to work out how many calls you make a month and compare the pair :-)
