Removing 101msgbank

Is there an easy way to remove 101msgbank from a pstn copper landline now, without having to contact telstra. And before anyone comments yes I have tried #99# - that only works for NBN. The platform has recently changed as it is now a male voice instead of the female voice. Used to be able to remove it from the phone after dialling 101 and deleting all the old messages and pressing 5 at the end to cancel but that no longer seems to be an option. Not sure why you would take that option away...

Yes I am a Telstra employee but any opinions expressed here are my own and do not reflect the Telstra brand name.

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

No. You need to contact Telstra to remove it from your service.

Why would they take away the option to do it from the phone itself tho. That makes no sense at all. #makethe simplecomplex

I don't know. Maybe you should ask the question through Telstra's internal systems.
