I want my caller I’d to appear when calling out.

You can enable caller ID using the My Telstra app or online

 

Go to Services or View all Services.

Select your phone service (Manage Home Phone)

Select your Bundle "Manage"

Look for Caller Identification "Manage"

Here you will be able to turn on outgoing caller ID..

This does not work. It says the webpage does not exist. It is so frustrating!!!

Its your Telstra account log-in page..  works for me...

 

How do you normally check your account?

 

What browser are you using? maybe clear your cache and site data?

Thanks guys. I’m trying to do it through the My Telstra app exactly as it suggests and this happens:

 

 

The app opens a browser client and then this. It happens all the time in this App. It’s really a terrible UX.

 

Being prompted to login constantly, and directed to webpages inside the app that tell me to try using the app! Then spending 12 hours or more on the chat for really simple issues that aren’t covered in the self serve options. The chat was tolerable when I could open it on a desktop but they took that away completely.

You could try clearing the app data/cache..

 

Try doing it in a browser on a desktop rather than the app...

 

Chat on the desktop (browser) works for me most of the time - just another presentation  of the app chat really..

There isn't a direct link to Telstra message but yo can get to a link by going to https://fix.telstra.com. At the end of the fix it wizard you will be redirected to here Smart Troubleshooting – Fix service issues online | Telstra where you will be able to initiate an online chat.

I get this showing in the Get Help page using the browser...

Thanks to everyone. I ended up calling Telstra and the lovely woman fixed the problem after several attempts however now all my incoming call show as unknown number which is worse than the initial problem.

Why am I not surprised to read that - current Telstra support monkeys are eager to please but have demonstrated to me many, many times, that they don't really understand their products or systems..  I encourage people to self help wherever the capability exists!
