Camera purple/pink

Do I need to have Telstra replace my phone with a new one due to this camera fault?

Good evening,

 

I presume your phone is under warranty.

I also presume that you have not changed the colour balance or made changes to the actual camera settings.

Just check that all the camera settings are correct, and if you do not have a printed manual, you will find one on line.

Also check that the lens is clean and you are not getting any flare from the flash.

If you believe the camera is faulty, after the above checks........

 

The first thing I would do is back up all your data and do a master full reset.

You will need to do it regardless, even if you send your phone for repair.

 

If the reset to new does not fix the probem, please take it back to the point of purchase.,,,preferably the Telstra store where you purchased it from.

They will send it to the Telstra state repair centre for initial evaluation.

 

If the phone is not deemed to have been physically damaged or suffered fluid ingress, they will exchange it for another, or repair yours.

 

Please remove your sim and ensure the phone is unlocked.

It's a good idea to record your IMEI and serial numbers and put a sticker on the inside of the phone,   and on the battery and cover, so you know if you are getting back your phone or an exchange unit.
