Unlock my Samsung S8

Answered

Hi there,

I'd like to unlock my Samsung S8 before I take it overseas and put a different SIM in it.

I'm out of phone contract for this phone and on a BYO Plan.

Thanks

Re: Unlock my Samsung S8

If you bought it on a contract (PostPaid), then the handset is not network locked.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

@Caitlin74 You can always test to see if the Telstra mobile is unlocked by purchasing an Optus/Vodaphone $2 SIM and booting with that. If it boots to the main screen without asking you for a network key then its unlocked.
