4G Advanced. Usage meter not displaying ( posted 6/10/2015)

I have recently re-activated my 4G Advanced mobile broadband with a $50.00 prepaid one year Sim. It still works great with high speeds on 4G and is ideal for travel.

 

The screen is displaying the message ' Usage meter cannot be displayed at this time'. I checked with my local Telstra store at Hervey Bay and was told that Telstra was in the process of upgrading the Telstra My Account site. This was over one month ago.

 

I have read the other older posts on this topic which do not resolve the matter.

 

I also sent a help request to Telstra support and was told that they could not help me at this time??

I would suggest you ring the dedicated Telstra dedicated  Online Team on 1800 266 000

They specialise in the issue you have.

Hi Prof'phone.

 

I contacted the Telstra Team but all they advised me to do was access my account and check my usage which I already done.  They have sent me an email with a Ref: so I can get back to them and I will do so.

 

The unit is working fine except for this missing data usage display.

Hi Shamar1

 

It's a little disappointing that the My Account team were unable to address the issue you were contacting them about. 

 

As you have mentioned, you have a You Have My Name email which will allow you to reconnect with the same person you have now spoken with.  It would be best to speak to them again so they can assist you to access the usage meter in your Telstra 24x7 app.

Hi Shamar, I am having this problem today as well. I have a Telstra Wi-Fi 4G Advanced (Netgear 782S). I have seen this modem display this message "Usage meter cannot be displayed at this time" a number of times and the problem seems to usually clear up after a few hours.

 

So far today, however, it has been showing this for the last 3 hours.

 

I suspect that Telstra is changing something on the back end in their servers?

 

I had a look at the Telstra service status page and couldn't find anything relevent.

 

Do you or anyone else know why the modem sometimes shows this message?

Update: In case anyone else has this problem and for future reference.

 

After the usage meter showed "Usage meter cannot be displayed at this time" for over 24 hours I restarted the modem and 15 minutes later noticed that the usage meter was now working... not sure whether the restart or a change in the Telstra backend system fixed the problem. Smiley Happy
