Connect Netgear Nighthawk M2 to existing Netgear router (D6220)

Hi,

have just received the Nighthawk m2 and we are getting acceptable speeds via its wifi when in the same room, however the range drops away half way through the house.

Was hoping it was as simple is plugging an Ethernet cable into the M2 and our old Netgear D6220 modem to give better wifi through the house.

The User guide for the M2 states “5. To use the router as an Internet gateway, connect an Ethernet device to the Nighthawk M2 mobile router Ethernet port.”  Works ok for my laptop, should it work for the modem too?, if so any tips greatly appreciated.

 Thanks

Have you setup the Netgear modem internet connection type as "Cable connection without login" page 60 of the manual?

Thanks, I'll try that, wondering if I need to do something at the Nighthawk M2 end also with IP Pass Through, IP Addresses and DHCP?
