Connectivity issue to Chinese hosted website

Hello,

About an hour ago I noticed that a smart devices hub (https://www.terncy.com/en-us/homecenter/) that I own was flashing orange which indicates that it has lost internet connectivity. This has never occurred before.

I checked access to Terncy's website (https://terncy.com) and found that the connection was timing out. I am able to access other websites such as Twitter and YouTube without issues.

I do not own an NBN service but I do have an Optus mobile phone here and it works flawlessly from the Optus service. I have three Telstra services, one is Belong 4G (MNVO) and the two others are Telstra Retail 5G connections, one on and iPhone 12 and another using a mobile broadband device. On all three, Tency's site is timing out.

I wondered if someone from Telstra would be so kind to look at this issue. Thank you

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: Connectivity issue to Chinese hosted website

Try changing the DNS setting in your modem to Google (8.8.8.8) instead of the Telstra default.

I can access terncy.com through my Telstra mobile connection and my Spirit Broadband connection.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Hi,

I already had Google's DNS servers set in my router, the issue was solved the following day. Thanks for your help.
