credit expiry

I have just purchased a $30 prepaid mobile broadband sim card which comes with 30 days of credit. I want 90 days of credit as I am about to head of on a remote tour so I added $80 of credit (60 days) but it says my total credit expires in 60 days. Why is this?

Re: credit expiry

The amount time you get for a recharge is dependent on the amount you recharge at that time, and takes effect from the date you recharge rather than at the end of your current recharge period. If you had recharged $100 all at once then you would have a 90 day recharge period, but instead you now have $110 worth of credit being used at the $80 recharge rate (1.95c/MB) which would give you 5.6 GB to use over the next 60 days since that is your latest expiry date.
