Nighthawk M1 Firmware update bricks device
I've just attempted the over the air update (8/8/17) as advised by email.
My device is now frozen "Updating device, please do not power off" and has been that way for over an hour.
I strongly recommend against doing the update. Tomorrow my device becomes a Telstra store's problem.

Re: Nighthawk M1 Firmware update bricks device
There's always the risk of something going wrong with a firmware update on any device.
The update worked fine for me.
DId the Telstra store get you back up and running?

Slow reply but why not!
Telstra took the device in, sent it to Netgear, just under 2 weeks later it was replaced.
New unit updated successfully!
